Living in London For A Month
I’ve just spent the last 25 days in London, England. Three whole weeks of going to street markets, writing and so much reading.
I’ve never taken a trip this long before. Sure I’ve done two-week-long road trips and moved to another state for school, but I’ve never taken a trip for a month, let alone be overseas at all.
From the start, I was a little anxious about what I was getting myself into, but once I hit the ground in the UK and met up with my group, I knew that the next three weeks were going to be some of the best of this year (they will be very hard to top).
I was lucky enough to get the chance to not only take this trip but to have a glimpse of what my dream life looks like—days filled with like-minded people reading and writing and sharing about it all. In total I read four books over the course of this trip, and wrote over 6,000 words on various projects.
In total, I saw 3 shows—1 play, 1 opera, and 1 musical—went to 11 markets, 7 museums, a handful of coffee shops, ate 60+ meals with wonderful people, took 2 9-hour plane rides, read 4 books, made new friends and never wanted to leave.
I had countless adventures, made many new friends (who I hope will be sticking around for a while), and have so many new stories to add to my collection.
